PROUD. RUGGED. FEISTY.
There is a certain energy in the North West. A breathing pride and love for home and country. You can feel it in the people and the landscape, a warmth, a hearty smile. Wedding videography in the North West takes on a different quality. The gravitas weaves its way through the rugged countryside right into hearth and home. I love it here. I’m a Northerner myself. It’s honest, down to earth and has an unrivalled feisty spirit.
Wedding videography in the North West is a milieu of moorlands, waterfronts and sculpted parks. The nature reserves, ancient woodlands and meadows call out for aerial footage, the sweeping nature of the treetops echoing the rise of your love as a couple. Urban landscapes create beautiful lines as the sky rises from the streets, light dancing on cobbled lanes or bouncing off glass lighting up avenues in golden splendour.
The Spellbinding Scenery of North West Wedding Films
The North West boasts some of the most incredible scenery as a backdrop for wedding videography. The offering of lush, green undulating hills, punctuated by cities steeped in rich history. And all of this flanked by a majestic and breathtaking coastline. Wedding videography in the North West is a dream. From the landmark iconic buildings in Manchester begging to have a romantic tryst captured on film, to the enchanting West Tower in Lancashire that looks like an abode straight out of Tolkien's Middle earth. It’s a wedding videographer's dream.
Painted Hues in Your North West Wedding Film
The colours are simply incredible in North West wedding videography, and the light can change on a penny. This always delivers a dramatic edge to wedding films. One moment you have bright sunshine and the next shot shows a moody skyscape as dark clouds roll in, only to be broken by the sun's rays piercing through, golden and shimmering on the happy couple. The ever-changing scenery is much like marriage itself. Sunny days and storms are all part of the territory. I love the way the realness of love in all its facets is echoed by the weather.
My Approach to Filming Your North West Wedding
A discreet approach is something I pride myself on. I want you and your guests to forget I’m even there and so I’ve made blending into the scenery somewhat of an artform. So whether you make your devoted commitment to each other in an unspoilt rural haven, or an iconic cityscape, I am free to capture the subtle and sublime moments that make your most precious day utterly unforgettable.
I remember one of the first weddings I captured on film was in the enchanted Forest of Bowland. I caught such intimate moments without being remotely intrusive. You can almost hear the trees humming with delight as the couple say their vows. Shots of the sun blinking through the boughs, the guests feet rustling in the fallen leaves. The footage was spellbinding.
Having a friendly and amiable way often affords me being mistaken for one of your guests. This is the highest compliment and is testament to why I don’t use flashy equipment or curate posed shots. My style is elegant, natural, timeless and more akin to reportage filmmaking. I weave the delicate and dignified together, creating a moving memory of your love's greatest commitment. A breathtaking cinematic keepsake that you can treasure forever.
